He's the Monkey of the zodiac. Ritsu has a very low self-esteem and is often seen apologizing for everything.

He dresses like a female because he feels that cross-dressing calms him down. Her... I mean, his cross dressing routine makes other people mistake him as a woman. Ritsu has a long hair and has freakishly convincing beauty for a man.

Ritsu often blames things on himself that have nothing to do with him, and occasionally becomes suicidal. He has an odder quirk of having some sort of "special" spot on his side that, when pressed, makes him keel over and faint.

His parents always had to apologize for everything he did, so he is very unsure of himself. He feels that every day, he is robbing the world's air by breathing.

His Mom is Mesho Sohma. The host of Sohma Hotsprings.

the insensitive and boring me

"GOOOOOMEEEEN NASAAAAAII!! I DIDN'T KNOW IT'S A BAD IDEA TO GIVE YOU A BOOK FOR A GIFT, SHI-HAAAAANN!!"

"Ritchan-san. It's getting a little bit loud inside the house." said Shigure-san. I can't do this anymore.

"And for your information, we, novelists, read other books too, you know?"

"...I- I'm sorry. I didn't know."

I am stupid as ever. Still, I think it's a bad idea to give Shi-han a book as a gift. I think it's an insult to him. He just doesn't want me to tell me. I also woke up everybody inside the house. I think it's only proper to commit harakiri... But I promised myself to Tohru-kun that I'll do my best not to give up -- and not to commit suicide.

I am really sorry. I just don't know what to give as a gift. I'm really insensitive in reality. I'm not also aware of the latest trends in the neighborhood. It's one thing that I want to develop. I'll keep trying.
