He's the Monkey of the zodiac. Ritsu has a very low self-esteem and is often seen apologizing for everything.

He dresses like a female because he feels that cross-dressing calms him down. Her... I mean, his cross dressing routine makes other people mistake him as a woman. Ritsu has a long hair and has freakishly convincing beauty for a man.

Ritsu often blames things on himself that have nothing to do with him, and occasionally becomes suicidal. He has an odder quirk of having some sort of "special" spot on his side that, when pressed, makes him keel over and faint.

His parents always had to apologize for everything he did, so he is very unsure of himself. He feels that every day, he is robbing the world's air by breathing.

His Mom is Mesho Sohma. The host of Sohma Hotsprings.

The Blog of Ritsu Sohma...

an ethical lapse?

Mom and Dad, is it allowed to bring pets in the hotspring?

I'm sure you can't bring pets into the establishment.

GASP!

Oh no! What shall I do?!

On my way to fetch clean towels, I noticed a little girl crying outside. She was all alone. And you know I couldn't just leave a crying little girl her by herself. Plus, she's a customer. So I went outside to see what was wrong.

"Little girl, what's the matter?"

"Nii-san! Nii-san! My cat is stuck up there!" I looked at the tree and it was an orange cat.

"K- Kyo?"

"That's right! Her name's Kyona! How did you know her name?" I nervously laughed. "She's very dear to me! Mommy and Daddy told me not to bring her along but I knew she was going to be sad if I left her home. I mean I wanted to bring her because I wouldn't want her to be sad. You gotta bring her down, niisan! She's stuck! I think she's scared!"

"I understand. Wait here."

Climbing the tree was a breeze. But getting her cat to come down was a battle of epic proportion. I had to climb down and get some stuff then climb up again and had to repeat this for several times because she was ignoring me; I tried showing the cat some treats, tinsel pom-poms, a little mousy, a ball of thread... anything that would make her come up to me-- even catnip. Still, she wouldn't budge. I knew that if I forcefully grabbed her from the branch, she would latch her claws into my arm; which is obviously unpleasant.

Then it started to rain.

"Oh my." I said. I panicked a bit because it started to pour down and it was really getting windy. Just then the cat hopped onto my head. Yes, on my head, and she was very still. And then she pat her paw on my forehead. I think it was the signal that she was all set to go. I climbed down. And so did my dignity.

"Thanks, niisan! You're very kind! Ah! But You have to keep this a secret from mom and dad." She laughed with glee. All that hardwork made it seem worth it because of the little girl's happiness. Anyway, I could serve a customer is worth it.

As of now, I find myself in a dilemma whether to tell or not. Gyiiii!
